I’ve been exploring the intersection of video installations with the dreamlike and spiritual aspects of human existence, in reference to T. S. Eliot’s famous quote “Humankind cannot bear very much reality.” I’m interested in whether virtual reality is always perceived in a negative light as a distraction and fragmentation of personality, or if it can also have a positive impact on the psyche. Can it create new and meaningful symbols and metaphors? My video work “Life Huck” utilizes special editing techniques, photo animation, and sound modulation.
