CPU

year: 2016/18

The “CPU” image series was created from 2016 to 2018. I was inspired to create them by computer processors. Observing their geometric complexity and beauty, I realized that through those corridors, a thought can move mentally like an adventurer who found himself in a new city for the first time, or like a prisoner wandering through a complex labyrinth. I remembered Italo Calvino’s book, “Invisible Cities”. In his novel, Calvino builds places that cannot be found in reality, but these are the cities one dreams of, these are mental labyrinths. I experienced a similar thing by looking at computer processors. That is why I did not want to present their technical perfection in a technically perfect visual language. I wanted to transpose their meaning into an artistic, spontaneous, and free painting language.

Unfortunately, this artistic project has not had the opportunity to be exhibited in gallery spaces until now. Some artists in Serbia took the idea and used it for their professional affirmation.
